Devil You Know
Also available as: eBook
When I first moved to Glasgow I wasn't exactly popular. Then I met Baz.
Baz was the kind of friend I wanted. Everyone listened to him, seemed a bit afraid of him too. Even our other mates.
Now we're all in deep trouble. Maybe this time Baz has gone too far. He's still my mate though, right?
'Phew! What a story. My first proper Cathy MacPhail novel, and I have to say that Devil You Know has more twists than even I had imagined... This book is exactly what should get young teenagers reading. You can't fault the way Cathy knows what their lives are like, or might be like. (That's probably why she scares me so.) I could guess most of what would happen, apart from that final twist which I really didn't see coming. Will you?'

'I think teenage boys will love this book. The plot is very clever and well thought out. Towards the end of the story you will be faced with a killer twist. I did not see this coming, so I will not say anything else, but the clues are there. This story is fast paced and well plotted; full of action and equal amounts of tension that will have you gripped throughout.'

'Taut and gritty, this one is a real page turner.'
'The book was excellent -- a real page turner which gripped me right from the start.'
-- Emma, Craigmount High, Teen Titles
'A great gripping read.'

'Sometimes when you read a book you really think you have caught the authors train of thought and you know where the book is going (and ending). Oh how wrong I was!! I really need to read it again to see where I got it so so wrong. A great gripping read. Will really appeal to teens.'
