
Features for Teachers: Secrets of the Last Merfolk

Are you looking for rewarding reading resources that your pupils will relish? Then why not try this great resource pack for Secrets of the Last Merfolk from Lindsay Littleson?
The Learning Resource Pack has been created by author Lindsay Littleson (who was a primary school teacher for many years), and includes:
- Writer’s craft
- Talking and Listening activities
- Creative writing projects
- Cross-curricular links (including art, social studies, modern languages , science, rights education)
- Photocopiable activities for the classroom or library
The pack brings together a variety of activities to help pupils with a range of literacy goals. Activities are designed to support comprehension, vocabulary and critical analysis. If needed, you can adapt them for Support, Core or Extension levels.
With this pack, your pupils can:
- Explore the world and words of Secrets of the Last Merfolk
- Get to know characters including Sage, Finn, and the merfolk themselves
- Draw characters, maps and comic strips based on descriptive clues
